Privacy Policy

Overview

Bahulam is a conversational AI product operated by AxPlusB, Inc. This policy describes what information we collect when you use Bahulam — the web app at bahulam.ai, the Bahulam mobile app, and any related surfaces — and how we handle it.

By using Bahulam, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in with a third-party identity provider (currently Google via Supabase Auth), we receive your email address, name, and profile picture URL from that provider. We do not receive your password.

You may also use Bahulam anonymously without signing in. In anonymous mode, your conversations are stored locally on your device only.

Chat content

When you send messages, we store the message content, timestamps, and associated metadata (title, model used, token counts) so we can display your conversation history and continue conversations across devices. Anonymous chats are stored locally on your device; signed-in chats are stored on our servers.

To generate responses, your messages are forwarded to third-party large language model providers (see "Third parties" below). Responses returned by those providers are stored with your chat.

Technical information

We automatically receive standard request metadata: IP address, browser or device type, operating system, and approximate location derived from IP. We use this for security, rate limiting, and debugging.

Payment information

If you purchase a paid plan, payment details are processed by our payment provider. We do not store your card number. We store a transaction reference, the plan you purchased, and the date.

How we use information

• Deliver the Bahulam service — display your history, continue chats, apply your plan entitlements.
• Communicate with you about your account, security notices, and material changes to the service.
• Improve reliability and performance — diagnose errors, monitor abuse.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your chat content to train AI models. We do not sell your personal information.

Third parties we work with

Bahulam relies on the following processors. Each has their own privacy policy governing what they do with data on our behalf:

• Supabase — authentication and database. Stores your account record and chat history.
• OpenRouter — LLM inference gateway. Your messages are forwarded to the model you (or we) selected for the response. Neither OpenRouter nor upstream model providers may use messages routed through OpenRouter for training under their API terms.
• Microsoft Azure — cloud infrastructure hosting the backend.
• Vercel — hosts the web frontends.
• Google Cloud — hosts identity federation for "Sign in with Google".
• Razorpay — payment processing for subscriptions and credit packs (when applicable).
• Expo — mobile app runtime and over-the-air update delivery.

Data retention

We retain your account information and chat history for as long as your account is active. When you delete a chat, we remove it from active storage within 30 days. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data and chat history from active storage within 30 days, subject to any legal retention requirements (for example, payment records may be retained for tax purposes).

Anonymous chats stored locally on your device stay there until you clear browser storage or uninstall the app.

Your rights

You can access, export, or delete your data at any time from your account settings. If you cannot complete a request through the app, email us at [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA — including the right to object to processing, the right to portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We honor those rights.

Security

Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Data at rest is encrypted at the storage layer by our infrastructure providers. Access to production systems is limited to authorized personnel and audited.

No system is perfectly secure. If you believe you have found a vulnerability, please email [email protected].

Children

Bahulam is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please email us and we will delete it.

International transfers

Bahulam is operated from India and the United States. If you use the service from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in those countries.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the effective date above and notify you through the app or by email if the change materially affects how we handle your data. Your continued use of Bahulam after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
